Exposure to intravenous immunoglobulin is associated with increased mortality in patients on immune checkpoint inhibitors: A population-based cohort study
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: To the Editor: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized cancer therapy by improving survival across various malignancies through immune system activation.1 However, immune-related adverse events (irAEs), side effects of ICIs including cutaneous reactions, often require systemic immunosuppression.1 While some immunosuppressive irAE treatments, including corticosteroids, have been associated with reduced survival, others, such as vedolizumab, have not been linked to adverse survival outcomes.
