Some Issues on Spreading and Diagnostics of Histomoniasis in Gallinaceans

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article presents original materials on studying histomonas infestation spreading, and evaluation of method effectiveness for its diagnosis. It was found that turkeys (II – 41-72%) and chickens (II – 18-32%) were infested with histomonasis, the lethality rate was 47.8% and 16.3%, respectively. The most effective methods for the diagnosis of histomoniasis are the examination of histological sections, stained smears and smear-prints of the affected organs.
