Abstract: We have optimised and validated an in-house protocol for extractingenvironmental (eDNA) that is applicable to both processed (Commercial honeysamples) and unprocessed (backyard hive honey samples) honey samples. The protocolcomprises a pre-treatment phase and post-treatment phase for eDNA isolation.
