Abstract: Probiotics are live microorganisms that have positive effects on health. They are mostly present in fermented milk products. Likewise, there are various preparations on the market that contain cultures of microorganisms. Their role is to help the natural microflora to recover faster while they perform their functions. Intestinal flora consists of bacteria that help break down food, enable the synthesis of some vitamins, produce the enzyme lactase, are important in the work of the immune system, have a protective role as well as a role in body weight regulation. They prevent bad bacteria from sticking to the intestines, create bactericidal substances, and signal other cells of our body to destroy bad bacteria.
