Abstract: Psychiatric manifestations of hypoglycemia are rarely reported and can lead to misdiagnosis and mistreatment. When patients with diabetes present with psychiatric symptoms, hypoglycemia should be considered a possible cause before prescribing psychotropic drugs. Fluoxetine can induce hypoglycemia and its associated psychiatric symptoms.
