Abstract: The evolution of educational technology has reached a revolutionary milestone with the emergence of EdTech 5.0. This new phase signifies not merely the digitalization of traditional learning environments but the deep integration of immersive technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) tutors that personalize, adapt, and elevate the learning experience. Unlike previous stages, EdTech 5.0 embraces emotional intelligence, neuro-feedback systems, augmented and virtual reality, and AI-guided tutoring to create a hybrid ecosystem where each learner is at the center of the educational process. This paper explores the conceptual foundation of EdTech 5.0, investigates its core technologies, discusses pedagogical and ethical implications, and provides comparative data (see Table 2) to illustrate its real-world adoption. The ultimate goal is to understand how such technologies can be scaled equitably, ethically, and effectively to define the future of education in both developed and developing nations.
