Abstract: Aim: to analyze the indicators of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality from circulatory system diseases (CSD) in the Perm region over the period from 2018 to 2023, and to develop a set of recommendations for their reduction. Materials and Methods: an analysis of morbidity and mortality rates from CSD in the Perm region was conducted using open-access statistical sources over a six-year period (2018–2023). Results: in 2023, the overall mortality rate per 100,000 population in the Perm region exceeded the national average in Russia (1333.8 vs. 1206.2), as compared to 2018 (1350.4 vs. 1245.6 in the Russian Federation). In 2023, a natural population decline was observed, though the rate of decline decreased by 9.4% compared to 2022. An assessment of CSD mortality per 100,000 population from 2018 to 2023 demonstrated a variable trend, peaking in 2020 (772.6 vs. 640.8 cases per 100,000 population in the Russian Federation). The overall CSD morbidity rate among the adult population declined by 5.3% between 2018 and 2023 (from 31,432.2 to 29,778.3 per 100,000 population). There was a significant increase in the detection of primary hypertension cases over the past five years, attributable to the efficacy of population health screening and preventive medical examinations in adults. In the Perm region, a remote monitoring (RM) project for follow-up of patients with cardiovascular diseases has been implemented. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated by a significantly higher survival rate in the RM group compared to the control group (97.3% vs. 88.6%, p=0.007). Conclusion: it is necessary to establish systems for analyzing morbidity and mortality indicators from CSD in healthcare institutions in the region. In the future, it is important to implement additional measures aimed at increasing public awareness of symptoms of acute cardiovascular conditions in order to reduce mortality from myocardial infarction and acute cerebrovascular accidents. Furthermore, scaling up RM systems for key nosological entities is of great significance. Keywords: coronary heart disease, mortality, morbidity, circulatory system diseases, medical check-up.
