Abstract: Tourism is becoming an increasingly attractive sector for investment. Each year, large-scale investment projects involving substantial financial resources are announced. However, investment activity is invariably accompanied by risks. While such risks cannot be entirely eliminated, they can be mitigated through the application of risk management practices. This article identifies the primary risks faced by investors in the tourism industry and outlines methods for their mitigation.
