Materials a n d Methods The present questionnaire-based qualitative study was conducted in the Department of Microbiology, Shija Academy of Health introductionThere is a need to inculcate attitude, ethics, and communication in Indian medical graduates (IMGs) with the aim of improving patient care and outcomes, as per societal needs.Hence, the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India has introduced Attitude, Ethics, and Communication (AETCOM) modules longitudinally across all phases of the undergraduate medical program, focusing on learning in the affective domain. The overall goal is to create IMGs who are ethical, professional, and effective communicators.¹Imparting learning and assessing the affective domain remains one of the major challenges for medical educators and necessitates exploring teaching-learning (TL) methods that are not routinely used in the medical curriculum.²Attitude, Ethics, and Communication teaching-learning methodology needs to be innovative, as didactic lectures alone may not be effective.Various methods have been attempted to deliver AETCOM modules; however, ensuring continuous engagement and improving conceptual understanding remain significant challenges.³In the Department of Microbiology, AETCOM modules have been taught using blended approaches such as didactic lectures, role plays, and short video clips.Peer-assisted learning is an interactive TL method where peers-who are not professional teachers but belong to a similar social group-help each other learn by teaching and discussion.⁴PAL supports development across all learning domains and fosters self-confidence, autonomy, clinical reasoning, self-reflection, and peer collaboration.Student tutors, when placed in the role of a teacher, enhance their own knowledge, skills, and attitudes 1,
