Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Although, for Freud, libido is always masculine, the enigma is always feminine, for men and women. The difference between the one sex and the other concerns how each is positioned in relation to this enigma, which is the rebellious part that does not submit to the laws of language. This concerns each person’s mode of jouissance. The uncanniness of the feminine has always provoked humans in their relation to truth. In this article, the author explores the current character of the relation to the enigma of the feminine, through an analysis of the ideals and normative discourses that surround it.
