Abstract: This study investigated the relationship between academic achievement and the home environment of tribal Binjhal adolescent girls attending secondary and higher secondary levels. The research involved 40 students. The home environment significantly shapes students' behavioral patterns and academic success; parents and the home environment undeniably influence a student's education. Data for this study were collected using the Home Environment Inventory scale, developed by Dr. Karuna Shankar Mishra. This paper aims to identify the impact of various home environment variables on the academic achievement of Binjhal students. The study's findings indicate a significantly positive relationship between academic achievement and the home environment components of control, protectiveness, conformity, rewards, nurturance, and permissiveness. Conversely, social isolation within the home environment negatively affected academic achievements. However, other variables of the home environment were not found to be significantly relevant to academic achievement. This study has important implications for both academicians and parents.
