Abstract: Conclusions: In summary, the type of cardiac lesion distinctly influences macrophage behavior, with unique transcriptomic profiles observed between ischemic and non-ischemic myocardium, despite similar macrophage ratios.These findings highlight the bidirectional relationship between macrophages and their microenvironment, and their significant impact on heart function after injury.
