Occupational cockroach allergy

Abstract: This case report describes two researchers who developed rhinoconjunctivitis to the allergens of cockroaches after conducting animal experiments with cockroaches. Proper protective equipment was not used, and ventilation was poor. Since current legislation on laboratory animals does not apply to insects, there is a risk of more cases arising among researchers and other professionals who are occupationally exposed to insects.
