Abstract: According to the World Health Organization, the spread of misinformation and disinformation are dangerous threats to public health. The popular legitimacy of far-right politics in the United States, across Europe, and other continents constitutes a new phase that threatens to jeopardize countermeasures adopted by social, political, and scientific institutions to counter the phenomena of mis- and disinformation.
