Abstract: The article discusses methods for generating electricity from renewable energy sources (solar radiation and wind) for use in urban development. The operating principles of solar panels and wind generators are shown. Recommendations for their installation and operation for the construction of energy-efficient buildings. Using the example of the Udmurt Republic, the calculation of the required capacity of solar panels and wind generators is given, and the payback period is calculated.
