Abstract: The Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of Government Medical College (GMC) Nagpur marked 75 years of excellence in medical education, research, and healthcare.Inspired by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's words, the year-long preparations led with vision and dedication by Dean Dr Raj Gajbhiye, culminated in an inauguration on December 1, 2023, graced by the Hon'ble President of India, Smt.Droupadi Murmu, alongside dignitaries Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Devendra Fadnavis.A commemorative postal stamp, coffee table book, and souvenir were launched.The celebrations featured meticulous planning, the transformation of the Oval Garden into "Gurukul, " and contributions from multidisciplinary committees.Over 2,500 participants engaged in a vibrant calendar of scientific sessions, cultural programs, art exhibitions, and alumni reunions.Highlights included the Ceremonial March, GMC Theme Song launch, alumni felicitations, and performances by Sonu Nigam and the GMC Orchestra.Eminent speakers such as Lt. Gen. Dr Madhuri Kanitkar and Dr Abhay Bang inspired audiences through talks and panel discussions.The event fostered camaraderie across generations, rekindled connections, and showcased the multifaceted talents of the GMC community.More than a milestone, the Jubilee became a living tribute to the institution's enduring spirit, preserved through live-streamed recordings, and a reaffirmation of its mission to nurture medical excellence and compassionate service for generations to come.
