Abstract: An K'a'ch Guzmán Marcos, an Ixil health care worker in the Ixil region, Guatemala, describes how cosmology forms an integral part of the people's identity. She describes the importance of cosmic health to the lives of the people, and the increasingly successful efforts of Ixil workers to build bridges of understanding with the biomedical medical profession.
