The A-function related to the Titchmarsh-Weyl m-function of Sturm-Liouville operators

Abstract: We provide a new method to establish Simon's A -functions associated with the Titchmarsh-Weyl m -functions of Sturm-Liouville differential operators. This method is based on a connection with the kernel of transformation operators. We also obtain some properties of the A -functions on finite intervals, which yield a high-energy asymptotic representation of the Titchmarsh-Weyl m -function.
