Abstract: This paper investigates the effect of using waste plastic materials in concrete.This review evaluates the engineering properties and sustainability of concrete incorporating plastic waste.The analysis encompasses fresh properties, mechanical strength, durability, and environmental implications.Opportunities for reducing plastic waste, energy consumption, and production costs are revealed, while areas for future research and development are highlighted.This review provides a comprehensive examination of existing research on plastic waste in concrete, synthesizing findings on engineering properties, sustainability implications, and associated challenges.By evaluating opportunities and limitations, this review aims to inform stakeholders, policymakers, and researchers seeking sustainable concrete solutions.
