Abstract: A GETF unit is like a mutual fund unit backed by gold as the underlying asset and would be held mostly in dematerialised form. They are special types of ETF tracking the price of gold. This was a welcome move which signified India’s interest and endeavour to operate in line with the capital markets of the developed countries.
