Abstract: The article presents a brief history of the development of the blood transfusion service in the Saratov region, from its inception and during the Great Patriotic War. Archival documents on the production activities of the staff of the blood transfusion station in the cities of Saratov, Engels, Balakovo and Volsk are presented.
