Simulation and Analysis of Adaptive Control and Energy Management Strategy for Renewable Microgrid Systems
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Adaptive control and energy management strategies have emerged as essential tools for optimizing the deployment of renewable energy systems, especially in rural and remote areas. This study explores the implementation and analysis of an Adaptive Micro-Grid with Predictive Control (AMPC-MG) in the rural community of Ogwashi-Uku, Delta, Nigeria.Using the HOMER software for system optimization, the research highlights AMPC-MG's cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and adaptability. The results demonstrate that AMPC-MG significantly outperforms conventional hybrid renewable energy systems (HRES), offering sustainable energy solutions, socioeconomic benefits, and improved quality of life in underserved regions.
