Abstract: This study analyzes rice and wheat prices in Maharashtra from January 2004 to December 2020 using Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables. The dataset contains over 1,000 records from different markets, showing price changes over 17 years. The main goal is to identify long-term trends, seasonal patterns, and price volatility to help improve agricultural policies and market planning.Data was cleaned, missing values were handled, and formats were standardized for accurate analysis.Pivot tables were used to aggregate prices, calculate averages, and visualize changes over time. Results show that rice and wheat prices have different growth patterns influenced by weather, government policies like Minimum Support Prices (MSP).Seasonal changes follow predictable cycles linked to harvest times and supply chains.Volatility was highest during major disruptions caused by policy or weather issues. The study highlights how Excel Pivot Table analysis can process large agricultural datasets and provide useful insights.
