Abstract: The article examines the relationship between the issues of the need to improve road safety using tools that are not directly related to road traffic. As an additional tool for improving road safety, it is proposed to use a accessible environment. The article describes the justification for applying the principles of accessible environment organization in practice as such a tool using the example of one of the intersections in Belgorod.
