Abstract: Tanya Harmer is a specialist on the Cold War in Latin America. After obtaining her BA from the University of Leeds, she completed an MA and PhD in International History, both at the London School of Economics (LSE). In 2009 she was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of International History at LSE, where she later became an Associate Professor. She has also held visiting teaching positions at Columbia University in New York and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
