Preliminary Study on Design of Elderly Seats Using Evaluation Grid Method: Assistive Cushions for Sitting and Standing Support

Abstract: We explored the elderly’s preferences and perceptions of standing assistive cushions. Using the evaluation grid method (EGM) and Miryoku Engineering, we interviewed 10 elderly users to identify key attractiveness factors, revealing a preference for cushions with handles and stable support for enhanced safety and usability.
