Abstract: This research paper attempts to find a possible relationship between fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and the prevalence of Type 1 diabetes among children aged between 0-19 years across several states in the United States for the period between 2001 and 2016. This paper is based on state data for PM2.5 concentrations and Type 1 diabetes prevalence rates to graph trends and correlations that could suggest environmental influence in T1DM. The study, conducted using statistical analysis and correlation models, has discovered no complex or regionally variable relationship between the exposure to PM2.5 and Type 1 diabetes incidence in children. These findings highlight the importance of local studies that are better designed to improve current knowledge of environmental pollutants' effect on Type 1 diabetes and to inform public health policy.
