Abstract: The article presents the findings of a historical and legal analysis of international and national legal norms, scholarly works and publicistic materials addressing the formation of the Pridnestrovian people as a distinct community in legal and humanitarian contexts. Through a secondary analysis of existing research and international legal instruments, the study confirms the completion of the process of forming the Pridnestrovian people. The author concludes that in Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, a people has emerged as a multi-ethnic, distinctive union of individuals united by a shared history and destiny, endowed with a unique identity of their own.
