Abstract: The key of this paper is to use linear regression models and optimization algorithms to predict the sales volume and obtain the optimal replenishment volume, respectively, in terms of both profit maximization and waste minimization for the pricing and replenishment scheme of supermarket vegetables. However, the linear relationship between vegetable price and sales volume is not applicable to all vegetable types, therefore, other prediction models such as decision tree, SVM and ANN are explored in this paper. In addition, the prediction results of these models and the replenishment strategies obtained are cross-validated.
