Abstract: The quality of education represents a challenge that does not take the responsibility of all countries in their achievement away. This multiple case study analyzes the perspectives of some educational actors regarding the activity of the Monitoring of Educational Action (MEA), developed by school inspection, whose propose is to promote the quality of education. The content analysis is performed by processing data collected through questionnaires and interviews. We observe a disbelief of the participants concerning the positive impact of the MEA. In consequence, it is possible to conclude that the transformation potential associated to the activity is weakened by the inflexibility of the methodology.
