New species of Lemophagus Townes, 1965 (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Campopleginae) from India reared as a larval parasitoid of Crioceris nigroornata Clarke, 1866 (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae)

Abstract: The campoplegine genus Lemophagus is reported for the first time from India, along with the description of a new species, L. larvivorussp. nov. The specimens were reared as larval parasitoids of the chrysomelid beetle Crioceris nigroornata. The new species is compared with all extant species, and its validity is further supported by molecular data. A concatenated maximum likelihood tree of COI+28S gene fragments is presented including species with available molecular data.
