Abstract: The article covers selected intertextual issues highlighted by the Polish translation of The Dictionary of Imaginary Places. Drawing on entries based on texts by Cervantes, Jünger, Aleksandr Zinoviev, Norton Juster (with Rimbaud embedded) as well as on graphic material and captions, I discuss examples of text–text, text–genre and text–reality relations and their translational implications and realizations.
