Abstract: The aim of this survey is to approach towards the comprehensive update of different methods for estimation of oral anti-diabetic drug for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) such as biguanides, thiazolidinediones (glitazones), dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors (gliptins), sodium/glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors (gliflozins) and glimins in their bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms. The review entails about analytical processes like RP-HPLC, HPLCUV, TLC/HPTLC, LC/MS-MS and UV/VIS. This review approaches toward the information for estimation and separation of mentioned drugs in either in combination or alone
