Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: This study uses bibliometry to conduct a visual analysis of albendazole drug-related studies and summarizes the hotspots and frontiers of albendazole research field. Methods: A detailed examination of the countries of publication, citations, keywords, and research trends in the realm of albendazole drug research from 2000 to 2024 was carried out utilizing the Web of Science (WOS)and China National Knowledge Internet (CNKI)databases, alongside VOSviewer and CiteSpace visualization and analysis tools. Results: The study contains 532 Chinese literature and 4285 English articles. The Chinese literature focuses more on the experimental studies on the effect of application and safety of albendazole, while the English literature focuses more on the role of albendazole in the prevention and treatment of various parasitic infections. Conclusion: At present, the frontier and hot spot of albendazole drug research gradually tend to be the efficacy difference of different dosage forms, the application of patients with parasitic infections, adverse drug reactions and drug resistance. The results of this paper can be used for reference for the subsequent study of this drug.
