Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: The objective of this study is to identify the factors influencing virtual education during the Covid-19 pandemic. A substantive-type investigation was conducted, at a descriptive-explanatory level, using a non-experimental design with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 137 second-year engineering students enrolled during the 2021-II semester at a public university. A non-probabilistic convenience sampling method was applied. A Likert scale was used as the instrument to measure the factors involved in virtual education. The instrument demonstrated high reliability, with a coefficient of 0.825, and strong validity based on expert judgment. The study examined motivational, social, emotional, and technological factors, all of which had a favorable impact on virtual education, with an overall positive influence of 82.48%. Each category of factors also showed a similarly favorable percentage of influence.
