Abstract: Misty Riddle is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno, USA. Her research group uses the Mexican tetra, Astyanax mexicanus, to understand how genetic changes alter development and drive the evolution of morphology and physiology. We caught up with Misty to find out about her path from the vet clinic to the lab bench, her research into cavefish and her transition to becoming a group leader.
