Abstract: This review analyzes the current pricing of semaglutide (Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro) in India as of August 2025, explores the impact of generics, and discusses trends affecting accessibility for obesity and diabetes management. Introduction Semaglutide and tirzepatide are two leading GLP-1 receptor agonists with proven effectiveness in the management of obesity and type 2 diabetes. While global prices remain high, India has experienced significant reductions, driven by local manufacturing and regulatory changes that encourage generic competition.[1][2]
