Abstract: What we eat and how it can affect our health has been a topic of intense interest for centuries.Diet provides valuable nutrients to both the human body and tumors, yet nutritional interventions lack reliable evidence and are rarely recommended by clinicians for the treatment of cancer.Cancer accounts for the highest number of deaths globally. In 2022, 20 million people received a diagnosis of cancer and 10 million deaths resulted from the disease. When diagnosed with cancer, many patients wonder how lifestyle changes can slow the progression of their tumor.Adequate nutritional support and diet consulting is an established dietary intervention for cancer prevention and increasing lifespan.Due to the wide availability of approved and easily applicable screening systems, it is deemed necessary to investigate malnutrition and nutritional risks in cancer patients. The present study deals with the correlations between nutrition and cancer. The first chapter introduces the topic. Then references are made to the bone reconstruction and bone metastases. The last chapter investigates malnutrition, nutrition assessments and the nutritional interventions with enteral, parenteral nutrition and nutritional supplements.
