Abstract: The FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE AND ANTI-MONEY ACT 2002 (FIAMLA) in Mauritius is an ambiguous piece of legislation which was framed to combat money laundering. However, due to its ambiguity, the Supreme Court of Mauritius and Judicial Committee of the Privy Council are issuing problematic judgments.
