Abstract: This article aims to analyze the effects of Inclusive Education policies on undergraduate courses in Rural Education, which aim to train teachers to work in basic education in the area of Natural Sciences. This is part of a research project that seeks to map Inclusive Education policies and their implications in the curricula of two courses offered by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) – one of them on the Central Campus, in Porto Alegre, and the other one in the coastal region, in the city of Tramandaí. The methodology follows a post-structuralist approach, inspired by Foucault, with the use of concepts such as discourse and governmentality. The method of documentary analysis was adopted, considering the Inclusive Education policies and the Pedagogical Projects of the Courses (PPCs) in order to understand how work with the differences of the subjects is proposed in the courses, regarding their curricular organization. The results have shown that the main inclusive policies have an impact on the courses and are translated into knowledge that comprises the context of Special Education, diversity and inclusion. However, the relationship between such knowledge and the area of Rural Education requires constant monitoring, in order to counter the exclusionary logic proposed by the neoliberal project.
