Abstract: The Rural Education and Special Education Interfaces constitute a theme that takes into account different potentialities in the context of the Brazilian people. Directing our gaze to the capixaba scenario, we aim to unveil the interfaces from the subjects who produced knowledge about these two modalities within the scope of the Graduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Espírito Santo. We focused on the analysis of a dissertation on the quilombola theme and a meeting with the author, seeking to highlight new/other clues in the context of her research based on a semi-structured interview. As considerations, the author points out the need to make Quilombola Education visible within Rural Education, valuing the Quilombola Identity and teacher training that takes into account both Special Education and other aspects of the differences present in the countryside.
