Abstract: Examination the possibility of using cellulosic sludge to obtain a composite with non-structural applications. This study investigates the potential of cellulosic sludge, a fibrous by-product of paper product processing, as a component of cement-based composites for non-structural applications. The influence of varying cellulosic sludge content (0 ÷ 40% by weight) on the physical and mechanical properties of the composites, including density, water absorption, and compressive strength, was evaluated. The findings reveal that higher cellulosic sludge content reduces material density and compressive strength while increasing water absorption, highlighting the need to optimize cellulose proportion to balance ecological benefits with material performance. The results suggest that cellulosic sludge can serve as a sustainable, eco-friendly component in lightweight construction materials, provided its content is carefully controlled to ensure adequate performance.
