Experience in Producing Welded Joints of Chromium-nickel Steels and Titanium Alloys: Review

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The paper reviews the data of the scientific and technical literature on challenges in the production of permanent joints of chromium-nickel steels and titanium alloys. It analyzes the results of studying the effect of welding methods on the structure and properties of joints. Laser welding is shown to form a welded joint with a strength exceeding that of titanium. A comparative analysis of the use of intermediate inserts in laser welding of chromium-nickel steels and titanium alloys is given. Changes in the structural state of a laser-welded joint are considered, which allow phase formation in welds and their strength to be controlled.
