Abstract: vesicles.EPLs associated with aneuploidy had a median gestational age of 42 days (range: 14-68 days).Aneuploidy was found in embryos derived from all pregnancy establishment methods including natural cover (59%; 16/27), ICSI (66.7%; 8/12), AI (54.5%; 6/11) and embryo transfer (62.5%; 5/8) as well as from eight breeds.Developmental anomalies were identified in several aneuploid fetuses. Main limitations: Case numbers remain insufficient to compare the prevalence between breeds and breeding methods.Conclusions: Conceptus aneuploidy is a widespread phenomenon representing the major cause of EPL in the mare across multiple breeds, breeding methods, and geographic regions.
