Research on the Application and Evaluation of VR Panoramic Technology in Interior Design Course Proposal Presentations

Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: The present study explores the application of virtual reality (VR) panoramic technology in the programme display reporting session of interior design courses, and the evaluation of its teaching effect. The proposal is for a three-dimensional immersive presentation of interior design models based on VR panoramic technology, with the aim of overcoming the shortcomings of traditional two-dimensional presentations in terms of spatial perception, interactivity and design verification. A comparative analysis was conducted on the performance of 60 students in the VR group and the traditional group in terms of spatial expression, integrity of design, design innovation, and technical standardisation. This was achieved through experimental means. The experimental findings demonstrate that the VR group exhibits superior performance in all core indicators when compared to the traditional group. The utilisation of VR technology to enhance the students' interior design course programme reporting link demonstrates a more pronounced effect, thereby substantiating the efficacy of VR technology in enhancing expressive ability and design interaction. The workflow and methodology employed in this paper can be generalised to relevant teaching links in other courses, thus providing both theoretical and practical solutions for the integration of VR technology in education. The workflow and methodology employed in this paper can be extrapolated to the related teaching sessions of other courses, thereby providing a theoretical and practical foundation for the “VR+Education” model.
