AS_MRI2Mesh – software for automatic generation of STL model of a limb with the internal tissues

Abstract: The presented software works as a standalone, fully automatic, command line driven converter from a set of DICOM® data from a study of a limb of a patient to a 3D model of the limb in an STL format. The model includes the outer shape of the limb (a skin model) and the internal structure of the tissues like bones, veins and nerve fibres. The software is made available as a set of Python scripts and a wrapper that enables a single command generation of a 3D model.
