Chromosome-scale genome sequences of two Charadriiformes species: Scolopax rusticola and Lymnocryptes minimus
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: We present high-quality genome assemblies of two snipes: the Eurasian Woodcock (Scolopax rusticola) and the Jack Snipe (Lymnocryptes minimus). Illumina and Nanopore sequencing were performed on fresh blood samples of wild specimens. The reads were assembled using a de novo method followed by the integration of Hi-C data to reconstruct chromosomal structures. Raw and assembled data are publicly available in GenBank.
