Seismic analysis and experimental research on containment hydrogen hybrid fan
Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: To study the seismic performance of a hydrogen hybrid fan with over 28 years of cumulative operation, finite element analysis was first employed to evaluate the fan body’s seismic behavior under internal pressure, self-weight, and seismic loads. Spectrum analysis was used for seismic calculations to obtain maximum stress and deformation. Subsequently, seismic tests were conducted on a mock-up of the fan and its internal motor using the multi-frequency wave method on a large high-performance seismic simulation platform. Excitation was applied simultaneously along three orthogonal axes, with the acceleration signal from the shaking table serving as the control signal. The tests included five operational basis earthquake (OBE) simulations and one safe shutdown earthquake (SSE) simulation. The results demonstrate that both the fan body and internal motor maintain structural integrity under seismic conditions, with stress and deformation meeting requirements. As the first domestic project for the extension of service life of nuclear-grade equipment, this study provides essential safety validation for the reliable operation of nuclear power units, offering significant engineering value.
