Abstract: With the rapid development of information technology, information education, as an important direction of modern education construction, has not only changed the traditional teaching mode, but also brought new opportunities and challenges to the teaching practice of various disciplines. Especially in the field of physical education, traditional teaching and training programs often focus on teachers' explanations and demonstrations, lacking interactivity and personalization, and difficult to quantify and evaluate, which restricts the effectiveness of physical education teaching and training. In this regard, this paper takes basketball as the research object, deeply explores the application feasibility of motion recognition technology in teaching and training practice, and designs and constructs a set of intelligent assistant training scheme for college students' basketball based on Kinect, so as to improve training efficiency, reduce sports injuries and enhance teaching effectiveness. Practice has proved that the application of Kinect motion recognition technology in college basketball teaching and training can not only realize real-time monitoring and accurate feedback of athletes' movements, but also make personalized training plans according to individual differences of athletes, which promotes the rapid improvement of athletes' skills and provides strong technical support for college basketball teaching and training.
