Abstract: The maritime industry has undergone significant transformation as ships and ports have networks of digital systems which control navigation and cargo tracking.Approximately 90% of global commerce trade travels by sea.The increasing connectivity of maritime systems and the threat of cyberattacks have made cybersecurity a priority for the maritime industry.Maritime cybersecurity is a critical component of global trade and security.This research aims to justify the inclusion of maritime cybersecurity in university cybersecurity curricula.
